Daniel Koplowitz, Architect

In more than 28 years of practice as a preservation architect, I feel I've created a body of work of sublime quality. Preserving historic fabric while creating new architecture of lasting beauty and function, my projects consistently achieve their design intent while meeting project goals and client objectives.

I seek challenging assignments: from the gut renovation of modern lobbies to the restoration of Grand Central Terminal; from the renovation of apartments and homes to the design of a pool house or a simple shed. My work has fine examples of custom furniture and light fixture design, as well.

Multi-disciplinary in practice, I obtained a B.A. degree in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters in Architecture with a specialization in Historic Preservation from the University of Florida.

I am certified by the National Council of Registration Boards and a member of the Professional Circle of the New York City Landmarks Conservancy.  Registered in both New York and New Jersey,  I work primarily in New York City, Westchester, and Rockland Counties, Long Island and Northern New Jersey.
